If the hat becomes bent out of shape, it can easily be reshaped using steam. This process can be done using a garment steamer (preferred) or an iron's steaming function. To flatten the brim, simply steam the underside of the hat and let it lay flat on a surface overnight or until completely dry. The top side of the brim can then be steamed and allowed to sit flat for additional time.

To fix a dent in the crown, apply steam and use your hands to mould it into the desired shape, then let it dry. The felt material has been treated with a stiffening agent, and when reactivated by the steaming process, the hat will regain its original state and shape.
